Occupy Richmond Heading For City Hall Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) Developing right now, the next step in the Occupy Richmond movement. About a dozen members gathered this evening at Kanawha Plaza then made their way to Richmond City Hall, where they plan to speak at tonight's council meeting.

The group wants permission to camp out at Kanawha Plaza. But Mayor Dwight Jones said today that the city is holding firm, and will not grant the request. That could take the movement to Jones' neighborhood. Richmond Free Press editor Raymond Boone -- who lives next door to Jones  -- has invited the group to camp out on his front lawn.

We will have the full story tonight at 11 on NBC12.
