CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A Chesterfield man is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl he met at a school bus stop.

22-year-old Alexander White is charged with aggravated sexual battery. Kathleen Wilmer is upset that White is out of jail. He lives in the same neighborhood.

She said he told two of her daughters he was trying to make friends before he grabbed the youngest on her behind.

A tearful Wilmer said Alexander White lied about his age, several times, during separate conversations an hour apart with her two daughters last Wednesday.

"She goes, 'well isn't that kind of strange you want to make friends with a 15-year-old' and he goes, 'I just want to be friends,'" said Wilmer.

She said he met her daughters, ages 15 and 12, two blocks away from their house on Twelveoaks Road.

Wilmer said White hovered at the school bus stop that day she says he first asked her 15-year-old to help find his keys then started talking to her 12-year-old an hour later.

Wilmer said her 15-year-old brushed him off and went home.

"When the middle school bus got here he was still down there," said Wilmer.

Wilmer said White struck up a conversation with her 12-year-old.

"She says, 'I'm 12' and he said, 'I'm only 17,'" said Wilmer.

She said after asking for her phone number and telling her how beautiful she was, he put his arm around her shoulder as she walked home.

Wilmer said he then asked for a hug.

"She turned around to hug him and when she did he grabbed her butt," said Wilmer.

White lives around the corner. We stopped by for his side of the story. White's father came to the door.

"He's concerned because he hasn't had any contact at all with an attorney," said Joel White.

Wilmer said she's since had a long talk with her girls.

"I said if anybody ever comes up to you and things don't sound right go the other way or go to an adult," said Wilmer.

Alexander White is expected to go before a judge in January.
