Fire under control in Chesterfield, no injuries

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Firefighters were able to quickly get a Chesterfield fire under control Saturday morning.

We're told a call came in just after 9:30 a.m. for a report of heavy smoke coming from a townhouse in Berwick Village. That's located in the 4700 block of Brimley Place.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

We're told nobody was inside at the time, so there were no injuries.

Chesterfield Fire tells us it appears at this time the fire started in the kitchen. However, an investigation is ongoing.
