Spiders, Dukes bit by injury bug

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The University of Richmond and James Madison both suffered setbacks on the football field Saturday.  They are still feeling the pain of those losses a few days later, as multiple players face serious injuries that could keep them out going forward.

Spiders quarterback Aaron Corp suffered a hip injury in the fourth quarter of his team's 28-7 loss to UMass Saturday.  During his radio show Tuesday, head coach Wayne Lineburg called Corp questionable for this upcoming weekend's game against Old Dominion.  Lineburg also called starting safety Cooper Taylor questionable after he injured his knee against the Minutemen.  Lineburg knows he'll be without starting cornerback Tremaine Graham, who suffered a quad injury and is out for the rest of the year.

JMU lost three-fifths of their offensive line in a 23-20 loss to Old Dominion.  Both starting tackles, Hanover product Josh Wells and AJ Scott are both out for the year after suffering injuries against the Monarchs. Right guard Matt Krout suffered a concussion, and he's highly questionable for this upcoming weekend's game against New Hampshire.  Duke do-it-all offensive star Daequan Scott also suffered an injury against ODU, and Mickey Matthews called him questionable as well.
