Search for Robert continues, hundreds answer call for help

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Just before noon Thursday, the capacity for volunteers in the search for Robert Wood, Jr. had been reached.

On Thursday, 1,200 people assisted in the search for the missing eight-year-old. We're told an additional 300 volunteers who weren't utilized Thursday, were instead trained in case search teams are still needed Friday.

If you're looking to assist in the search for Robert Wood, Jr. on Friday, we've learned the new meeting location will be at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell.

If you've already been trained earlier this week, you're asked to arrive at 8:00 a.m.

If Friday is your first day volunteering, you're asked to arrive at 9:00 a.m.

Directions to the Meadow Event Park can be found here:

Police want to thank every single person who is donating their time and energy to help find Robert.
