Judge denies bond for David and Todd Landeck

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond judge denied bond this morning for two Hanover county brothers involved in a brutal beating in the Fan.

David and Todd Landeck are each serving a 10 year sentence for aggravated malicious wounding. They beat a man with a board on New Year's Day, 2010.

Defense attorney Steven Benjamin argued the pair should be let out of jail because a higher court has agreed to hear the appeal.

But, Judge Walter Stout said the beating was well beyond what you would expect and ruled the brothers are a danger to society.
