Tayleigh Davis is a reporter for NBC12.

From the beautiful Downtown to the trails that run along the James River, I've already enjoyed getting to know the Richmond area.

I came from south of the gnat line where I reported and anchored for the NBC station in Albany, Georgia. Before that, I was part of a team that launched the first HD station in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Even though I was born a Buckeye, I'm a Carolina Girl at heart. I grew up along the coast, and spent several years working at my local TV station in Wilmington, NC.  When I wasn't working, you could find me wiping out in the white water trying to catch a wave or two.

As a former Track and Cross Country athlete at East Carolina University, I'm always looking for a good place to lace up my sneakers.  The trails that run along the James River are a runner's paradise. I love the outdoors!  The only time you'll find me inside is catching a good live band or grabbing a bite to eat at a one of the fine, local restaurants in town.
