Stomach and liver illness

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Dr. Patrick Wooward is seeing cases connected to stomach and liver illness.

He has treated several patients with loose stools, nausea and skin itching.

This is likely a viral infection affecting the intestines and liver.

Treatment is aimed at symptoms - bland low fat diet, imodium for diarrhea, claritin and cool baths if itching is a problem.
