CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Dr. Kevin Watterson from the Rockwell Physicians of Salisbury is on the case of ehrlichiosis.
The disease is passed through ticks and it is characterized by fever, chills, headaches and body aches.
Most cases of ehrlichiosis occur in the spring and summer months. Use tick repellents to prevent bites.
Ehrlichiosis is a serious disease and delayed treatment can have significant consequences. If symptoms occur within a few weeks of the bite, see your doctor.
