RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police arrest two people in connection with a deadly road rage crash in Richmond.
Investigators took the couple into custody outside their North Carolina home.
Police had been looking for the suspects for nearly three weeks.
40-year-old Christopher Sessoms and 31-year-old Charity Dees are each charged with one count of hit and run.
The crash happened back on September 22 on I-195 in Richmond.
The wreck sent 24-year-old Christopher Lee Fisher to the hospital — he died several days later.
Surveillance cameras caught a clear picture of the license plate from the red truck police say caused the crash.
Police arrested the couple when they say Dees pulled up in their driveway in that red pickup.
According to the Times-Dispatch, the truck is registered to one of Sessom's relatives.
The duo drove to Tennessee and Georgia while police were looking for them.
The paper also reports that several dozen oxycontin pills were found in Dees's bra.
Both suspects are expected to be sent back to Richmond where they could face more charges.
