Governor asks president to visit Louisa

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Governor McDonnell is inviting President Obama to tour earthquake damage in Louisa County when he visits North Carolina and Virginia next week.

In a letter to the president, McDonnell described the millions of dollars in damage done and the need for help from the government.

Just last week, FEMA denied individual assistance to property owners in Louisa. That decision is being appealed.

The president's tour is scheduled for October 17th through the 19th.
