CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A $1 million winning lottery ticket was sold in Chester, according to the Virginia Lottery.
We're told a customer at the Corner Mart Texaco on West Hundred Road matched the first five numbers of Saturday's Powerball drawing.
Those first five numbers were -- 3, 27, 35, 37, and 45.
Unfortunately, because they didn't match the Powerball number, they didn't win the $71 million jackpot, but that just means your chances of winning go up.
Wednesday's drawing is for a jackpot worth $86 million.
The Virginia Lottery says the earliest the $1 million winner can come forward is Tuesday, because the office is closed Monday. The winner has 180 days to come forward.
