RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A little boy is recovering after being hit by a car in Richmond Friday night.
This happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike. The 8-year-old was crossing Midlothian Turnpike near Wythemar Drive, when he was struck by a car that left the scene.
The boy was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but we're told he's now in stable condition.
Police say witnesses described the vehicle as a small to mid-size red car, possibly a Chevy Malibu or Ford Focus, with tinted windows. We're also told the car may have damage to the front or front left.
