Funeral service for Dr. Robert Heinz to be held Tuesday

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A funeral service will be held Tuesday for the popular J.Sergeant Reynolds dean that died last week.

The atmosphere on campus suddenly changed when news of the deadly car accident involving Dr. Robert Heinz spread.

Many of them will leave campus early to say one final goodbye to the well-respected dean.

The horrific accident happened along Parham and Lydell Drive. He was leaving the Henrico campus when the two-car accident happened.

Dr. Heinz was the dean of the School of Business and Engineering.

Many of those who knew Dr. Heinz say he really made a difference in the lives of many.

The funeral service for Dr. Heinz. will start at 11 a.m. at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, in the 2300 block of Winterfield Road in Midlothian.

No word on if any charges have been filed in this deadly crash.
