Henrico woman arrested for malicious assault with bleach

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A Henrico woman was arrested and charged following an incident that police say unfolded on Sunday afternoon.

Stephanie D. Beckwith, 49, of Ratcliffe Avenue, faces a charge of malicious assault. Henrico Police say on Sunday at approximately 4:30 p.m., Beckwith and a 16 year old girl got into a verbal argument. Police say the argument then escalated when Beckwith went into her home. There, Beckwith retrieved a cup of bleach which was then thrown into the face of the girl, according to police.

The girl's injuries were not considered serious, police said. Further details were not immediately available, including the relationship between Beckwith and the 16 year old girl.
