HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico Police are searching for the suspect behind an abduction-robbery that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Piney Ridge Drive.

Henrico Police say 45-year-old Lamont Dmitri Cain held a person at gunpoint, forced them from their home and placed them in a nearby car. While inside the vehicle, the victim was stabbed in the thigh.

The victim was able to escape from the vehicle a short distance away. Fortunately, Henrico Police tell us the victim's injuries are non-life threatening.

Cain is still on the run. He's wanted on multiple charges including robbery, abduction, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Henrico Police say Lamont Cain should be considered "armed and extremely dangerous".
