RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Family Dollar is facing a sexual harassment lawsuit over claims by a former employee in Richmond.
In the lawsuit, filed Friday by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Chanele Brown claims her supervisor groped her and propositioned her for sex.
Brown also says the manager cut her work hours and told her if she wanted the hours reinstated, she would have to allow him to come over to her home. Brown refused the store manager's demand and resigned the next day, according to the complaint.
"Employees should not have to tolerate unwanted sexual conduct as a condition of employment," said Lynette A. Barnes, a regional attorney of the EEOC.
We don't know which Family Dollar store was involved, just that it was a Richmond location.
