UVA frat house balcony collapse injures two students

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WWBT) -- Two students remain hospitalized at UVA Medical Center Sunday following a balcony collapse at a UVA fraternity house party.

NBC12 has confirmed through Charlottesville NBC affiliate, WVIR, that a James Madison University student is still listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon. The second victim, a University of Virginia student, is listed in good condition.

Right now, building inspectors are trying to figure out what caused the collapse.

Police say around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, the balcony railing at the Pi Kappa Alpha house broke during a party.

The two students fell 15 feet on to the driveway.
