Henrico Police looking for Exxon shooting suspect

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police are asking for your help in finding the suspect in an overnight shooting.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. Saturday at the Exxon station in the 3600 block of Nine Mile Road.

We're told the victim was pumping gas when the suspect approached and demanded money. The suspect displayed a gun and after a brief struggle, the weapon discharged, striking the victim in the finger.

The victim and was taken to VCU Medical Center. His injury is said to be non-life threatening.

Henrico Police tell us the suspect they're looking for is an African American male, approximately 24-years-old and 5'10". They're describing the suspect as having a thin to medium build. He may also have a thin goatee.

According to police, the victim also described the suspect as having a distinctive head that appeared smaller in proportion with the rest of his body.
