RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Some Richmond high school students are learning, first-hand, the lessons of finances and savings.
The Times-Dispatch reports how John Marshall High School transformed a janitor's room into the city's first student-run credit union branch.
"New Generations Federal Credit Union" opened Wednesday morning.
The bank is staffed by three student seniors.
The goal is to teach students about money-management and job leadership skills.
