Increased osteoarthritis pain

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Dr. Sheila Casey is treating increased osteoarthritis pain.

Symptoms include joint pain in the hips, knees, shoulders, hands and back that worsen with rest. You "stiffen up" when you sit, but the pain resolves with moving around.

To prevent osteoarthritis pain, avoid joint injury, know your limitations, keep a healthy weight and stay active through your life.

For minor pains, non-steroidals such as ibuprofen or naproxen, as well as acetaminophen can be helpful.
