
LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - The United States Geological Survey is now reporting four aftershocks near Louisa County Saturday.
Preliminary reports state the first quake happened at 4:33 a.m. and was a magnitude 2.0. The second quake happened at 8:42 a.m. and was a magnitude 1.9.
The 2.0 aftershock was centered approximately 7 miles south of Louisa, while the 1.9 aftershock was centered 6 miles SSE of Louisa.
At 11:33 a.m., a 2.6 magnitude quake occurred approximately 7 miles south of Louisa.
Saturday afternoon, a 2.1 magnitude quake happened at 2:37 p.m., approximately 5 miles ESE of Mineral, or 10 miles ESE of Louisa.

Aftershocks have been frequent in these areas lately. A 2.1 magnitude quake occurred Friday at 12:17 p.m., approximately 6 miles south of Louisa.
