Glen Allen, VA (WWBT)- When Glen Allen High School opened its doors in the fall of 2010, many football players who would have played for Hermitage found themselves with a new program. That placed former teammates on different rosters, and it put two sets of brothers on opposing teams as well.
Kevin Jennings is a senior offensive lineman for Hermitage. He found himself across the field on the opposing sideline from his brother, Connor, a sophomore center for Glen Allen. Stakes were a little bit higher for Donyell and Darius Flowers. Donyell, a senior tight end for the Panthers, and Darius, a sophomore Jaguar defensive end, went against each other head-to-head on the line.
Hermitage won Friday's game, 37-7, but the final score is not the only thing these four players will remember about this match-up.
