CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A man who, police say, ran from a traffic stop on Chippenham Parkway Thursday morning is expected in a Chesterfield courtroom Friday.
Our cameras were rolling as police, armed with search dogs, combed the area near High Oaks and Jahnke roads.
State police say one of their troopers pulled over Gary Smith, Jr. for a broken brake light.
But Smith ran from the vehicle into a heavily wooded area.
About five hours later, Smith was found and charged with several crimes — including possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.
