Henrico Police make homicide arrest

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico police made an arrest in a homicide that happened two weeks ago. It took help from AT&T and the Virginia State Police to put 29-year-old Jeffery Runion behind bars. He's charged with first degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Jahmare Smith.

On September 1, patrol officers found Smith seated in the driver's seat of a car with a gunshot wound to the head in the 7600 block of Staples Mill Road. Smith was transported to the VCU Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
