HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – A Henrico man faces numerous charges after police say he hid in the bedroom closet of a 15-year-old girl.
Harry S. Bailey, Jr., 40, of East Laburnum Avenue, was arrested Monday. That morning, Henrico Police say they were called to Grand Glen Road in eastern Henrico County for a reported break-in. Police say a neighbor had contacted the homeowner and advised her that someone entered the home through the back door.
According to police, once officers arrived, the homeowner allowed them to search the residence. Police say Bailey was then discovered in the bedroom closet of a 15-year-old female resident, who was at school at the time.
Police say an interview with Bailey revealed that a sexual relationship had been ongoing with the juvenile since April.
In addition, police say they recovered unspecified evidence revealing sexual content on Bailey's phone and that of the teenage girl.
"In most cases of juveniles having phones, smartphones, what have you...the parents are the custodian of the contract. Take the time to check your child's phone," advised Henrico Police Lt. Eric Owens.
Bailey was later charged with four sex offenses, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of marijuana. He's being held without bond in the Henrico jail.
