Glen Allen to Welcome Hermitage in Program's First Ever Home Game

Glen Allen, VA (WWBT)- When Glen Allen High School opened in the fall of 2010, many Hermitage students were pulled from the hallways and were enrolled in the new school.  Many football players who had planned to play football for the Panthers suddenly found themselves with a new program, and will welcome their former team in an historic event for Glen Allen on Friday.

The Jaguars will host Hermitage on Friday in their first ever varsity home game in school history.  Glen Allen is coming off a loss to J.R. Tucker last Friday, while Hermitage shutout Highland Springs in its season opener to start out 1-0.  This match up features a team that was the 2010 state runner-up in the Panthers, facing a Glen Allen team that has a varsity football history of one game.

This meeting will feature former teammates facing off against each other.  Hermitage and Glen Allen are separated by less than three miles, giving this match-up the potential to grow into an intense rivalry.

Kickoff between Hermitage and Glen Allen is set for 7:00 pm this Friday.
