POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) - It took just one hour for all 30 Yorkshire terriers seized from a Powhatan home to been adopted. The Richmond Animal League took custody of the dogs on Tuesday.
Prospective families lined up outside the shelter even before it opened. The Yorkies will be going to their new homes as soon as the shelter can check references and meet with the families.
Powhatan authorities removed the dogs last month from Randy Odum's house during a drug bust.
