POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) - An "In Honor and Remembrance" ceremony has been planned for September 11, 2011 at the Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center in Powhatan Virginia.
Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society, a Fraternal benefit society, is presenting a 25' Flag pole, complete with the American Flag, to Lonesome Dove during the ceremony.
This event will last approximately 1 hour, and will include a moving ceremony with veterans bringing the flag to the flag pole on horseback.
The ceremony will focus on September 11, as well as honoring those veterans and public service personnel who protect us throughout or local communities.
The Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center is located at 6137 Old Buckingham Road, Powhatan Virginia, 23139.
