Source: Obama to visit Univ. of Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Many of those Republican hopefuls will be watching Thursday night as President Barack Obama gives his speech on creating jobs.

After that, Obama will visit the Richmond area.

It appears that part of President Obama's trip will include a visit to the University of Richmond.

A source close to the school tells us the university is planning for his visit.

It's not clear if this will be open to the public or if it's just a quick stop. More of those details will come.

The president's trip to Richmond comes a day after his TV speech to Congress on his jobs plan. He'll then try to sell to all of us here in Richmond.

The last time President Obama was in town was almost a year ago, to talk about jobs and the economy.

You can see his speech Thursday night in prime time on live on It's expected to last at least 30 minutes.
