Bell Leads Henrico into 2011 Season

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Henrico football head coach Roger Brookes has a good feeling about his 2011 Warriors.  Henrico finished .500 last season and were competitive in many games that it lost, leaving Brookes to believe his squad is on the brink of a playoff berth.

The Warriors will take the field with a fast paced no-huddle offense this season, led by senior quarterback Malcolm Bell.  Bell takes control behind an offensive line that sees just one starter returning, but has a good number of skill players as options in Brookes's spread system.  Bell has talent that's catching the eyes of several Division I schools.  He's being looked at by Elon, Liberty, William and Mary and Richmond to continue his career at the collegiate level.

Henrico opens its season on Friday at Caroline, with kickoff set for 7:00 pm.
