RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Several people have asked what they can do to help others after the storm.
One way is to just check on your neighbors — especially if they are elderly or disabled. You may be able to help them clear debris from their yard.
Another thing you can do is volunteer.
The Central Virginia Food Bank is always happy to welcome volunteers. The Red Cross and other non-profit organizations would also appreciate assistance.
And you can always donate money.
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management says cash donations are more helpful to disaster victims. If you would like to make a donation, we've put a link to the state's disaster relief fund under All Access.
