RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The number of homes in central Virginia without power continues to drop.
Dominion crews turned the lights back on to at least 9,000 customers in the Richmond/Tri Cities area Wednesday night.
142,000 people are still without power in the Richmond-Metro. There are still about 14,000 Northern Neck homes without power.
Dominion crews said it met it's goal of getting at least 75 percent of the lights back on to people across the state Wednesday.
7,000 power crews are here in the state, and more are on the way.
A big problem we are hearing about: people are not happy that Dominion is giving out times for when the power should be back on — and then changing that time.
According to a tweet from Dominion, that happens because there may be more damage at some spots than originally thought, which ends up pushing back projected work.
The list of exact places Dominion crews plan to be in will be out around 9 or 10 this morning.
