Responses for viewer questions and concerns

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)-A lot of NBC12 viewers have been posting questions on our Facebook and Twitter pages asking if there is a boil water advisory in place.

There are five community water systems under boil water advisories:

Isle of Wight County in the Rushmere Subdivision and Carrsville,

Hanover County in Spring Meadows and Meadow Gate,

King George County in Presidential Lakes Section 14,

Greensville County in Jarratt,

and Southampton County in Drewryville.

There are several services today in Prince George County. The county is having a shower and power opportunity at the local middle school. Basically, you can get a warm shower and you can charge your electronics like your cell phone and laptop. The county is offering this opportunity from 9 a.m. to noon.

The county is also giving out bottled water starting at noon at Prince George High School. They are expecting a large crowd so please be patient.

Also, there have been several postings about price gouging. If you think a business is trying to take advantage of you this way, call the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

There are two numbers to call if you think you are facing this problem. If you live in the Richmond are, call 804-786-2042. There's also a toll-free number you can call at 1-800-552-9963.

Feel free to keep posting questions and concerns on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/nbc12news or you can talk to an NBC12 On Your Side reporter Deon Guillory, directly on his personal Facebook page, Deon Guillory NBC 12, or his Twitter @Deon Guillory.
