Louisa experiences 2.7 aftershock overnight

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Louisa County experienced another aftershock overnight.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 2.7 aftershock happened around 11:50 p.m. Monday night.

Our crews caught a 2.2 aftershock on tape around 7:30 p.m. Monday night.

It came right as the school superintendent was speaking. She paused and then tried to make light of it.

We've now experienced at least 19 aftershocks since last week's quake.

At that Louisa school meeting Monday night, county officials decided students will now only have to go to school every other Saturday to deal with overcrowding from the damaged schools.
