RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - State troopers responded to 70 different crashes Saturday, included one accident that involved a trooper.
Saturday afternoon a trooper was using his squad car to block the right lane of southbound I-85 in Dinwiddie because of a fallen tree.
While passing the trooper's car a pick up truck rear ended the car in front of it, lost control, and then hit the cruiser.
No one was injured but the truck driver is facing reckless driving charges.
Besides responding to crashes State Police also fielded 442 calls for service.
