Bus driver convicted of failure to yield in deadly crash

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The former Richmond school bus driver charged in a deadly accident will now have to pay a $100 fine.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports Nathaniel Lewis was convicted Monday of failure to yield in the crash on Belmont Road, that killed Karl McClendon and injured five others.

Family members of the victim have been vocal that Lewis was not charged with anything that could have carried a stiffer punishment.
