Meadowbrook Hopes to Achieve Postseason Goal

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Meadowbrook football has not reached the playoffs since Troy Taylor took over at the head of the program prior to the 2009 season.  Taylor and the Monarchs enter camp with hopes of changing that.

Taylor's team is coming off a 6-4 2010 campaign and returns five starters on both sides of the ball.  This includes junior quarterback Gerard Johnson, who will lead a dual threat offensive at signal caller.  Taylor says that the Monarchs will be primarily a running team, but they'll be able to throw when they have to.

One thing is for certain, Meadowbrook was close in all of its losses.  The Monarchs' worst loss was by eleven points, with the other three by deficits of seven, three and one points, respectively.

Meadowbrook will open its season on September 1 against Manchester at home.
