Ballpark plans may not happen until 2015

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - City and county leaders hint a new ballpark for the Richmond Flying Squirrels may not come until at least 2015.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports a new baseball stadium near The Diamond would cost the area about $50 million.

Henrico County's manager tells the paper that due to the recent economic problems, there would not be enough time to sell bonds to finance the stadium in the time frame that many in the Squirrels organization would prefer.
