RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Tiffany Metacarpa loves to eat out, but when you add Parker and Haley to the total bill, it can get expensive. That's why she loves kidsdinefree.net.
"It was too good to be true," she said.
For $20, she got a membership to kidsdinefree.net. Every time she buys an adult meal, one kids meal is free.
"It probably pays for itself in a week," Tiffany explained.
Once you sign up, you're mailed a card along with the list of the 250 restaurants that participate.
"You can use it 3 times a day, 7 days a week for three months," she said.
Heather Johns says the card is about and saving time and money.
"You go when it's convenient for you. Whether it's Wednesday at 6 o'clock, whether it's Friday at 4 o'clock, whether it's Sunday after church," Heather said.
Tropical Smoothie strives to be family oriented so it joined kids dine free last year.
"It creates loyalty, it creates repeat business and creates future customers," said Gary Hughes, Tropical Smoothie Director of Operations.
Famous Dave's has a delicious array of kid's meals and has noticed repeat customers using kidsdinefree cards.
"It's a great opportunity for restaurants to get involved. It increases your traffic, it helps you create new guests inside your restaurant and it's a great way to advertise your business," Famous Dave's GM Yugo Petrov said.
And if that business has multiple locations, you'll be able to eat for less at any of them. One of Tiffany's favorites is Plaza Azteca. With her kidsdine free card, her bill dropped from $24 down to $18.
"This has spoiled me a little bit. I don't feel as guilty about eating out anymore," Tiffany added.
If you eat out once a week, in 3 months you could save $60. Kids dine free is available in Richmond and Williamsburg.
