Monacan has experience, strength up front

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A upset victory over Clover Hill was the highlight of Monacan's season last year that saw them miss the playoffs.  In 2011, Danny Parsons's crew is hoping to make it back to the postseason.

The Chiefs return all five starting offensive lineman from last year, including starting center Matt Foust. Three of Monacan's main losses come at the offensive skill positions. Quarterback Dustin Woody, wide receiver Anthony Brown, and running back Maurion Edwards have all graduated, and Parsons says those are the positions where Monacan has the most room to improve.

Monacan has an early start to the season - Thursday September 1st at home against Dinwiddie. The Chiefs have a bye week on the final week of the regular season - November 11th.
