Corp Returns Healthy for Spiders

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- It's been a wild journey for Richmond quarterback Aaron Corp.  After battling for the starting job at Southern California and falling short, Corp made the decision to transfer to Richmond.  After starting the first five games of the season in 2010, Corp hit a snag with a devastating knee injury that threatened his career and ended his season.

2011 has seen Corp revive himself back to 100 percent and ready to lead the Richmond offense to big things.  The senior has recovered from reconstructive surgery on his right knee and is ready to take the field as the starting quarterback.  The Spiders are in need of some offensive sparks following 2010, which saw them average just 15.5 points and 273 yards per game.

Corp says that the last ten months have seen their fair share of challenges, but he has worked his way back and is thrilled to be playing football again.  Head coach Latrell Scott adds that he expects to see what his quarterback can really do this season.

Corp and the Spiders open up their season on September 3 at Duke.
