RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Richmond man accused of accidentally shooting his grandmother is facing new charges today.

Prosecutors have tacked on four new felonies against 36-year-old Kevin McCray, including the malicious wounding of Naomi Taggart, his grandmother.

She was shot in the neck Saturday night when police say McCray and his brother Steven Taggart began shooting at each other over money.

Naomi Taggart is still in the hospital recovering in stable condition.

McCray is now accused of malicious wounding, felony shooting into an occupied dwelling, felony shooting inside an occupied dwelling and a weapons charge.

That's on top of his previous charges of attempted murder and two weapons charges.

Prosecutors say they are still considering charges against Steven Taggart.
