PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Petersburg Police officers responded to a call of shots fired on Blackwater Drive in Petersburg around 8 p.m. Sunday night were advised that a gunshot victim was en route to the hospital.
Jarrett Robinson, 32, was pronounced dead at Southside Regional Medical Center. Police investigated leads for a suspect, and with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals' Fugitive Task Force, arrested the suspect about 2 a.m., just six hours after the incident.
Zephino Goode, 30, was arrested at a local motel where he had been staying. The shooting was apparently the result of an argument between the two acquaintances.
