HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -- We are learning new information about the search for 40-year-old Eric Roach. He is believed to be behind the violent robbery at the jewelry store in James City County. Then, he along with another suspect, led police on a chase into three different counties.
Now, we are learning that on Wednesday, SWAT team members surrounded Roach's home in Philadelphia. In that search, we found out that Philadelphia PD brought Roach's brother in for questioning. But, we have found out that his brother is not facing any charges at this point.
Roach is now on the radar of the US Marshall Service, along with several police departments, spanning several states.
We obtained aerial shots from Philadelphia hovering over Roach's home in the 6100 block of Alma Street. You can see police blocked off the road around 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, as SWAT team members went into roach's home searching for evidence.
Philadelphia Police cannot discuss what, if any, evidence was found. We also learned that Roach was not at his home when officers arrived and began this search. But, officers say Roach could have been there before.
We are also learning police in Philadelphia may have been looking for a dark green Dodge Caravan at Roach's home. It was not found.
All of this as Roach continues to hide from police. There's been no sign of him since Tuesday and the US Marshal Service -- who is helping with the search -- say it is not sure where Roach may be.
Henrico police are going to hold a news conference at 1:30 this afternoon to provide more information about the search for Roach, as well as the shooting and police chase.
