Nuisance animal ordinance passed in Hanover

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Hanover county leaders approved a new nuisance animal ordinance.

Under the new ordinance, attacking livestock and other animals on two or more occasions would constitute a nuisance, unless it happens on the owner's property.

Animals that chase or threaten cars, bikes or people would also be in violation.

This comes after a series of high profile animal attacks, including one on a kangaroo at a farm in the Rockville area.
