RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – A popular recreation destination is being combed for clues after an overnight homicide.
Around 5:00 Sunday morning police were called to the 8200 block of Riverside Drive for reports of a shooting.
Few details have been released, but police say officers arrived to find a man shot in a wooded area near where Rattlesnake Creek meets the James River.
Despite efforts to sustain the victim police say the man died at the scene.
Investigators are now working to determine exactly what happened.
