Casting for extras in 'Lincoln' Friday at Convention Center

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Do you dream of being an actor? Looking for your big break? Hollywood is coming to Richmond Friday, looking for thousands of extras to be a part of director Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln"  movie, filming here this fall.

Thousands are expected to brave the heat tomorrow at the at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and line up for a chance to be in a major motion picture.

The production company shooting Spielberg's movie, based on Abraham Lincoln, will be at the Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You need to go to the first level room E-11.

The movie will shoot in Richmond this fall and feature the likes of academy award winner Daniel Day Lewis staring as Lincoln, as well as actress Sally Field as his wife.

Friday's casting call is strictly for men. they are looking for men 20 or older.

You need to bring a recent photograph of yourself and they want men with long hair and or facial hair, like beards.  You also need to be willing to grow that facial hair and not shave it, through the fall.

If you land a role as an extra it is a paid position. We don't have details on how much extras would make.
