RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - If you're getting ready to hit the road today for a summer getaway, get ready to pay even more at the pump.
Gas prices are slowly inching up at some stations in our area.
Driving down Midlothian Turnpike, we saw prices as low as $3.54 and as high as $3.65 within a few miles of each other.
About a month ago, the price at the pump dropped into the low $3 range at some stations — but those prices quickly went back up.
Right now, the average in Richmond sits at $3.58, about 10 cents less than the national average.
AAA predicts the price to stay between $3.25 and $3.75 during the summer months.
Many are worried that gas may reach the $4 mark again — but AAA says that alarm isn't sounding off... just yet.
