Man arrested after body found in trunk

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A murder investigation crossed state lines before the suspect was arrested in Virginia.

A Nags Head man is in jail right now after police say they found a body in the trunk of his car.

Police used cell phone towers to track down the suspect's car.

Enrico Mascaro, 19, is suspected of being involved in a murder in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Investigators put out a nationwide bulletin looking for him and 18-year-old Danielle Dennis-Towne.

Cops tracked Mascaro's empty car to Clifton Forge, Virginia — 50 miles north of Roanoke.

When they looked in the trunk of the car, they found a woman's body.

Mascaro is charged with being a fugitive from justice and murder.

He's expected to be in court Monday. He will then be sent back to Kitty Hawk.
